AHS Staff Published a Paper in Health Psychology and Behavioral Medicine Journal


Publication of paper from Mr. Shivanand B Savatagi, Assistant Professor, Dept. of Allied Health Sciences, FLAHS PhD work in the Health Psychology and Behavioural Medicine Journal by Taylor and Franscis Publisher under the title — Do integrative approaches to health contribute to self-reliance in primary healthcare: Reflections from a community case study in Kerala.“

Paper discusses the ground level existence of integrative approaches in Aluva taluka of Kerala and what influences people to adopt a particular healthcare approach, and do these approaches contribute to self-reliance in primary healthcare with the emphasis on traditional medicine. Paper clearly brings out the fragmented nature of integrative practices and the need for embracing localization, experiential, intergenerational, and incorporated forms of knowledge in enabling self-reliance of communities.
