Mr. Avinash V Prabhu, an Assistant Professor from the Optometry division of Faculty of Life & Allied Health Sciences from M.S. Ramaiah University of Applied Sciences has been awarded with the ​“Best Optometry Educator Award” for the year 2021 by Optometry Council of India in joint collaboration with Bausch & Lomb. His application was shortlisted & declared for the award out of 25 applications of Optometry educators across India and announced on October 22^nd, 2021 through virtual platform. The jury evaluated the implementation of innovative teaching in Optometry, standard of national/​international pedagogy courses undertaken and the amount of significant contribution done to Optometry curriculum. In line with it, this application had met all of these assessment checkpoints making him eligible for this prestigious award.
