Carl Zeiss visited the Dept. of Allied Health Sciences as part of their first official campus placement drive held on 10^th November 2022 at Board Room, Dept. of Allied Health Sciences, FLAHS for the graduating Optometry students (intern) of the Batch 2019. Ms. Evangeline Rajathi (Senior Product/​professional trainer) and Mr. Vishwadeep Goswami (Senior Talent pool cell) represented from Carl Zeiss as recruiters. A written test followed by face to face interviews were conducted for 4 optometry interns’ offline and for 1 intern online. The interviewers noticed and expressed their appreciation for the subject knowledge, communication skills and hard work put by the interns all throughout the interview process. Opportunities to sustain this academia-industry collaborations in the form of overarching MoU, deliberating funded projects, initiating more linkages through guest speaker invites, inclusion of industry experts in Board of Studies and initiating inter & multi-disciplinary research domains was discussed with the team. The starting expected CTC for the selected candidature will range from 5lakhs to 8lakhs per annum.
