Hexis 2022 , the life sciences fest jointly organised by the student clubs, DeNovo:. the Biotech Society and FoodAdobe of the Faculty of Life and Allied Health Sciences of MSRUAS, kick started with the Inauguration Ceremony on the 8^th of April 2022, at 10:30 am and continued till 11:30 am. The Master of Ceremony was Tejal T, Head of Events from Denovo: The Biotech Society. The Chief Guest of the inauguration ceremony was Professor Samir K Brahmachari, former director general of the council of scientific and industrial research (CSIR) and former secretary of the department of the scientific and industrial research (DSIR). The Chief guest, the Dignitaries of MSRUAS and the Dean of FLAHS were welcomed onto the daïs where they lit the ceremonial lamp to mark the auspicious beginning of Hexis 2022, as the students sang the melodious invocation song. The guests were also bestowed with a token of appreciation by the students for gracing the event. This was followed by the Ramaiah Anthem and a welcome address by the Vice President of Denovo: The Biotech Society , B A Shravya. The Chief guest, Professor Samir K Brahmachari addressed the gathering, where he emphasised on the need to translate scientific research into public good. Dr M R Jayaram, Honorable Chancellor of Ramaiah University, Dr M Sai Baba, registrar of Ramaiah University and Dr Krishnamurthy Jayanna also encouraged the students with their inspiring words. The ceremony concluded with a vibrant dance performance by the students and a vote of thanks by Smruthi Bhatt, co-founder of Food Adobe. 

Events of Hexis 2022: 

Hexis spanned across two days with thirteen challenging and fun events that tested the skills, knowledge, wit and wisdom of its participants. The events were judged by the faculties from FLAHS , Department of Sociology, School of Social Sciences and the School of Law. These events were reminiscent of the students’ childhood days, which incorporated elements of nostalgia , with a science twist. 

Hexis 2022 was brought to a fitting end on the 9^th of April, in the Dwaraka Auditorium during the felicitation ceremony. It was the culmination of the tireless hard work of all the students of FLAHS, who put their heart, mind and soul into every detail that made Hexis the grand fest that it was. The felicitation ceremony celebrated and rewarded all the winners and runner-ups of the thirteen events that attracted students from various universities across Bengaluru. It began with an address by Marwa Mayan, co-founder of FoodAdobe. The felicitation ceremony was graced by the presence of the Honorable Vice Chancellor of Ramaiah University, Dr Kuldeep Kumar Raina, the Pro-Vice Chancellor of Research, Dr Govind R Kadambi,the Dean of Academics, Dr Latha Anandakrishnan, the Dean of FLAHS, Dr Krishnamurthy Jayanna and the Associate Dean of FLAHS, Gnanagangothri campus, Dr Soma Chaki, who presented the trophies to the winners and runner ‑ups. The students then delivered an exceptional dance performance that lit up the entire auditorium with its vibrancy and enthusiasm. The ceremony concluded with a Vote of Thanks delivered by the President of Denovo:The Biotech Society, Sri Mathangi H, followed by a stunning performance by the student band.

Hexis, that began with an idea and found fulfillment through the sheer will and endeavours of the students , the unrelenting support of the University and the consistent guidance of the Dean and Faculty of FLAHS, ultimately brought together, the students on a sojourn that is sure to leave it’s mark on the legacy of our University
