The program delivery consists of a combination of a few or all of the following:

Student Support for Learning

Students are offered support in the form of:

  • Course notes
  • Reference books in the library and e‑library
  • Access to journals and magazines
  • Provision of internet
  • Computer facilities
  • Laboratory facilities
  • Workshop facilities
  • Student lounges

These are in addition to support from staff and to any other measures that enhance learning.

Assessment and Grading

  • During each semester, student performance is assessed through two components: Continuous Evaluation (CE) and a Semester-end Examination (SEE). Both carry equal weightage.

Theory Courses

Theory courses carry 100 marks and include two components: 

  • Component 1

Continuous Evaluation (CE) — 50% (40% + 10% attendance)

Includes assignments, term tests, presentations, tech talks, seminars, mini-projects, case studies, self study, quizzes, and others.

  • Component 2

Semester-end Evaluation (SEE) — 50%

A 3‑hour long semester-end examination will be conducted for a maximum of 100 marks and will be reduced to 50% weight.

Laboratory Courses

Laboratory courses carry 50 marks and include two components: 

  • Component 1

Continuous Evaluation (CE) — 50%

Includes performance in lab exercises and record submission (40%) and viva voice (10%)

  • Component 2

Semester-end Evaluation (SEE) — 50%

Consists of a 3‑hour long semester-end examination for a maximum of 50 marks and reduced to 25 marks. 

Please Note:

A student is required to score an overall minimum of 40% marks in continuous evaluation and semester-end examination combined for each course.
